Dr. John Lowman, a resident of the Monte D’Oro neighborhood in Hoover, and an associate professor at the University of Alabama at the Department of Physical Therapy of the Birmingham Health School Physical School, has received a price of Alumnives from the University’s Physical Therapy Program. He is the director of the Residence Program in the UAB Physical Therapy Department and is a board -certified cardiopulmonary clinical specialist. It is also part of the UAB Medical School Center for Clinical and Translation Science, Integration Center for Aging Research and Cystic Fibrosis Research Center.

Deer Valley Partners is asking Hoover City Council to resist about 2 hectares in 5245 Ross Bridge Parkway from a favorite commercial circle (Office) in a community business circle. Property is one of the two 2 -acre parcels owned by Deer Valley Partners and is only south and east of the Cross Creek Church’s property. The Hoover City Council is likely to consider the request at its March 17 meeting.
